Ronaldo da Costa

Ronaldo C. da Costa is an Associate Professor and Service Head of Neurology and Neurosurgery at The Ohio State University in the US. He obtained his DMV degree in 1995 in Brazil. He worked a year in private practice and then enter a Master program in Veterinary Surgery in Brazil. He completed a combined Residency/PhD program at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph in Canada in 2006, same year that he achieved board certification by the ACVIM in the specialty of Neurology. He has received 27 awards throughout his academic career, including 6 teaching awards. He has also authored multiple peer-reviewed manuscripts and contributed to several authoritative textbooks such as the Ettinger and Feldman, and the Tobias and Johnston. He was the Guest Editor of a Veterinary Clinics of North America on Spinal Diseases published in 2010, and is the co-editor of the upcoming edition of the Dewey and da Costa, A Practical Guide to Canine and Feline Neurology, 3rd Edition.
